Racist:

Someone pointed out that he had talked about vaginas in his autobiographical chapter in the Cambridge center’s book: http://www.behavior.org/item.php?id=604.  So I read it, and found that statement was cherry-picked to attack DickMalott rather than to illustrate the likely function of such verbal behavior.  He was talking about how when he was five, he and his neighborhood friend got naked [a very normal developmental thing – in case you’re not buying it, check out: https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/preschool/Pages/Sexual-Behaviors-Young-Children.aspx]. 

 

Anyways, it is typical DickMalott fashion that he opens a chapter with a shocking-statement and then leads through a narrative to make his point.  In this chapter, we learn that Dick heavily recruited (and still does) minority students with the goal to enhance our field by increasing diversity. Add to this that he taught Jordanian graduate students at JUST and has basically created his own affirmative action admission system at WMU, and I have to say that the function of his Mexican statement at CalABA is unlikely to oppress or denigrate those of a different race but more likely to shock and awe.  Again – the topography is the issue, not the function.
